Branch Setup · Build – Operate – Transfer

A second home
for your team.

We build your Czech branch from scratch – the entity, the people and the operations. The team works on your product from day one, and once it stands on its own, we hand it over. No hourly rates, no extra fees.

When Branch Setup makes sense

We're growing, but there's no one left to hire at home.

Six situations companies come to us with most often. One is enough.

  • You need to scale now, not in a year.
  • Competition for talent at your HQ location is too tough.
  • Dependency on vendors is over the tolerable limit.
  • Expanding where you are is too expensive.
  • You want geographic diversification of teams.
  • You're missing a partner for growth who has done it before.
Three pillars

A branch stands on three pillars.
We build all three.

Most vendors handle one – hiring. We keep the entity, the people and the operations under one roof, so HQ can focus on the product.

01

Entity

A white-label Czech company under your brand. Incorporation, legal setup, accounting and payroll, compliance, an office in one of three cities.

  • Incorporation and legal documents
  • Accounting, payroll, taxes
  • Office, IT equipment, tariffs
  • Your internal policies and security requirements
02

People

Typically two recruiters fully allocated from day one, part of your People team. On our latest project that meant 5 offers a month, roles filled within 30 days and 25 people in 9–12 months. We look for candidates in Czechia and abroad; the DNAnexus office has people of 13 nationalities.

  • Hiring to HQ standards and culture
  • Onboarding into your tools and processes
  • A people partner on site
  • Culture map, fair pay, retention
03

Operations

Office manager, CFO and people partner in-house. Day-to-day operations by HQ rules, full visibility into finances, right to audit.

  • Day-to-day operations and team care
  • Full visibility into operations and finances
  • Regular catch-ups and team events
  • Costs defined upfront, no surprises
How it works

From zero to 25 people
in nine to twelve months.

A timeline from a real project. The only thing that changes at transfer is the owner.

  1. Month 0

    Kick-off

Handshake, company structure agreed, legal documents prepared.

  2. Months 1–3

    Entity & hiring

Legal establishment of the Czech entity. Hiring starts and ramps to 5 offers a month.

  3. Months 4–9

    Hiring & nurturing

First 5 on board, 10 more joining. The team works on your product, we run the operations.

  4. Months 9–12

    Team of 25

The team grows to target size. The site lead has a seat at the HQ management table.

  5. When you decide

    Transfer

At pre-agreed conditions and core-team size, we hand the entity over. No transfer fee.

  6. Ongoing

    Onwards

Recruiting, people operations and growth support continue if you want them.

Transparent costs

You know what you pay for.

Indicative model

Indicative difference in salary costs

First-year payroll including the ramp-up. Czech data comes from a real Alviso project (2026, 25 people, junior to engineering manager), US data from Mercer salary data. Indicative – we build the exact model for your roles.

US payroll, year 1
Czech payroll, year 1
Salary difference in year 1−

The calculation compares salaries only. The fully loaded cost per employee in a running branch, including operations, office and our services, comes to roughly 11,000 USD a month.

Why Czechia

A market you can build on.

Global top 10

Czech developers ranked in the global top ten of HackerRank's 2016 study. Strong English, a multicultural environment and values that fit product teams: autonomy, purpose, problem-solving.

25,800 ICT students

Over 4,700 ICT graduates a year (Czech Statistical Office, 2025). CTU in Prague is one of Europe's oldest and largest technical universities, and the deans' doors are open to us.

Aa3 rating (Moody's)

One of the most stable countries in the region, economically and politically. Employer-friendly labour law, an excellent salary-to-cost-of-living ratio, Prague and Brno as relocation magnets.

Neighbours you know

Pure Storage 0 → 450, MSD 1,100, Rapid7 0 → 150, Filevine 20 → 110 in a year. Prague, Brno and Ostrava host IBM, Honeywell, Oracle, Red Hat, Workday, GoodData and DNAnexus. We know who sits where, who they hire and for how much.

Branches we built

Two companies with a second home in Czechia.

DNAnexus100+ people today

Started 03/2019, transferred in 2022 – the client took over 41 people. 51 hires in software, QA and bioinformatics during the BOT phase, more than 130 hires through Alviso in total. Three years of people operations support.

“Alviso was a key partner in building DNAnexus in Prague from the ground up. Their in-house knowledge and insight into the local job market was critical to establishing a dedicated team of talents, aligned with our core values and practices. Alviso has been there with us since the first employee.”

John Ellithorpe · President, DNAnexus
TRUU17 people since 01/2022

A US cybersecurity company chose Prague for the quality of its engineers and data scientists and for a stable environment. We built a team that has worked on the product from day one.

“Their BOT service enabled us to expand internal workforce quickly, while decreasing risks of entering unknown market. While essentially this is a supplier/consumer relationship, it feels like we are truly partnering on our company mission.”

Lucas Budman · Founder & CEO, TRUU
Common questions

What CFOs and CTOs ask before they say yes.

Who owns the entity while it's operated?

Alviso – which is why we carry the entrepreneurial risk and why there is a fixed line for it in the model. The company operates under your brand, by your rules and with full visibility for you. At transfer it passes to you including the team, contracts and history.

When and under what conditions does the transfer happen?

Whenever you decide. The conditions – typically core-team size and length of operation – are agreed at the start and written into the contract. We don't charge a transfer fee.

How is it different from outsourcing or a body shop?

From day one the people are your team: working on your product, with your management, in your culture. We supply the entity and the operations, not billable work. The goal is an autonomous, self-sufficient team – a second home, not a vendor.

What if you decide not to take the branch over?

Then we keep operating it – the model works long-term without a transfer too. And if you want to wind down completely, we settle the team and the commitments by the pre-agreed rules.

How much HQ time does it take?

Two overlapping working sessions a week at the start, aiming for zero dependency. The site lead becomes a member of HQ management; HQ visits are used to the last hour. Operations are ours.
